This is the original demo from 2017, recorded on my cell phone the day I realized I no longer had my favorite hoodie, and decided to skip the gym out of frustration. I wrote it all in one setting, and the song has only changed a little since I originally wrote it (there is an extra repeat of the last line in each chorus in the new version). It's a shitty recording, but it's just a fun little reminder of how far I've come, and that you can totally do what I'm doing if you put your mind to it.
lyrics
She's got my favorite hoodie and I don't think I'll get it back
I wanted to work out; I wanted to SWEAT
But I can't do that, well at least not yet
Ever since you left me, you left me cold
Not talking about emotions, just what I owned
Cause she's got my favorite hoodie and I don't think I'll get it back
And I can't handle with any sense of tact
What's mine is mine and you're not one of those things
And you're not cute when you bite on my drawstrings
That EarthBound logo was not meant for you
I lost a friend when I lost you
A double entendre; a duplicate meaning
Who was I referring to when I approached the ending
And your opinions, to which I'm dissenting
I don't know if we'll be ever okay
She's got my favorite hoodie and I don't think I'll get it back
What's mine is mine and you're not one of those things
And you're not cute when you bite on my drawstrings
That EarthBound logo was not meant for you
I lost a friend when I lost you
I lost you, I lost you
Ahh
Ahh
